Trade Compliance Lead– TCRS4574
HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Trade Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring adherence to global trade regulations, driving import/export compliance programs, and managing all trade related activities. This individual contributor role serves as the subject matter expert on international trade regulations and collaborates cross-functionally to mitigate risk, optimize efficiency, and uphold trade compliance standards that align with business goals.
This is a REMOTE position.
EXPECTATIONS
- Create and manage import & export compliance programs, processes to ensure adheres to regulations
- Provide guidance and training to leadership and internal partners on trade compliance best practices
- Assign and maintain product HTS/ECCN classification, Country of Origin, Valuation, etc.
- Oversee participation in trusted trader and security programs like CTPAT, ISA, AEO
- Ensure compliance with Free Trade Agreements like USMCA including validation and certification
- Liaise with brokers, CBP and PGAs to streamline entry process and resolve issue in a timely manner
- Conduct audits on import entries and AES filings; maintain compliance dashboards and reports
- Stay up to date on import/export regulations, industry trends to incorporate into trade processes
- Manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
ESSENTIALS
- 5+ years of experience in trade compliance and import and export operations
- Bachelor’s degree in international trade, supply chain, or related field
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- In depth knowledge of import entry process with CBP and other government agencies
- Solid understanding with HTS Classification, Country of Origin, FTA, Valuation methods, and AD/CVD
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; including Excel and Access
- Experience in metals, recycling, or commodity trading industries a plus
