Job Summary 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Global Operations team as the Sr. Manager of International Business Development.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in the vitamin, mineral, and supplement industry and will lead our international business development initiatives. 

Essential Functions 

  • Lead and execute international business development strategies to drive growth in the VMS industry. 

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify and evaluate global market opportunities and to inform decision-making. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and partners in target markets to expand the company's presence. 

  • Develop and implement effective market entry and expansion plans, considering regulatory requirements and cultural nuances. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product offerings, pricing strategies, world-class account management, and promotional activities for new international markets. 

  • Drive new revenue growth by negotiating and closing strategic partnerships and distribution agreements. 

  • Analyze financial metrics and market trends to assess the performance of international business activities and recommend improvements. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging markets, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities. 

  • Work closely with the executive leadership team to align international business development initiatives with overall corporate goals. 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the international business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. 

Job Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, or related field; MBA preferred. 

  • Must have 5-7 years of global business development and/or sales experience in the Vitamin, Mineral, and Supplements (VMS) industry. 

  • Proven track record of successful international business development in the vitamins, minerals, and supplements industry. 

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, cultural dynamics, and market trends in the global health and wellness sector. 

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive business plans. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

  • Extensive experience in driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion. 

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting. 

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to travel internationally on regular basis. 

Additional Requirements 

  • Implement improved business  processes to maximize profitability and minimize controllable expenses. 

  • Evaluate sales performance and take appropriate actions to support sales growth.  

  • Conduct daily B2B communication and provide high level customer service to our partners. 

  • Coordination of interdepartmental communication pertaining to various account management tasks. 

  • Must stay current with international cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales.  

  • International experience living and working outside the United States with fluency in a second or multiple languages strongly preferred. 

 Physical Requirements 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. 

  • Employee must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
