About Our Group

The International Trade Administration is responsible for trade compliance within Seagate’s global supply chain and business operations. This organization ensures compliance with US and regional Customs, export and import, including but not limited to, indirect tax regulations, preferential trade programs and incentives.

About The Role - You Will

  • Support, audit, and improve the Americas trade compliance day-to-day import / export operations, including restricted party screening, due diligence, AES export declarations, deemed export and technical data transfer assessments, classification, etc.
  • Liaise with third-party service providers and government agencies
  • Manage customs brokerages through quarterly business reviews and scorecard
  • Interpret regulatory changes to US trade regulations
  • Improve and assist in implementing trade compliance systems, programs, and procedures
  • Participate in existing US trade compliance programs such as, Reconciliation, Duty Drawback, ENC reporting
  • Support corporate and global company initiatives from a trade perspective

About You

  • Self-driven, highly organized with excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong systems background with SAP, SAP GTS or similar trade compliance applications
  • Strong knowledge of US Customs and Export Administration Regulations, Commodity Classification List, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, valuation
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and liaise with external vendors, customs brokers, and government agencies

Your Experience Includes

  • Significant experience in US trade compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 0365, Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working with or supporting diverse teams of all levels
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

You Might Also Have

  • Customs Broker license a plus
  • Trade experience in foreign countries outside of the US
  • Trade experience with software and hardware

The estimated base salary range for this position: $70,000 – $101,000. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
