About the Job:


As the leader of the PP operations organization, you will spearhead our global shipping activities. This pivotal role is responsible for the shipment of international products, with a focus on communication, customer service, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. Reporting to the Ops. Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and your career.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for managing international logistics partners to deliver operational excellence to PP customers.

  • Works with customers, sales, and operations areas to ensure product delivery is on-time and meets quality and compliance standards.

  • Responsible for assuring accuracy on shipped product as well as traceability working with internal and partners systems.

  • Manages a team of supervisors, order processors, schedulers, and shop floor employees to accomplish the department goals.

  • Acts as the main contact for international logistics for transportation companies as well as our PP supply chain partners across the world.

  • Conduct weekly reviews to track progress on shipping activities and keep stakeholders appraised.

  • Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies in defined areas and demonstrates solid knowledge of processes and procedures.

  • Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

  • Assists in the hiring and training of new staff and the development of supervisors and team leaders.

  • Responsible to work with team to carry out inventory replenishment activities.

  • Manages shipping supplies budget and capital improvement projects for international shipping.

  • Completes and conducts employee reviews.

  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.


 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • 4-year degree. BA/BS.

  • 4 plus years of experience in Shipping, Production and/or Supervision.

  • 2 years of experience in logistics related field or international commerce

  • Knowledge of export rules and regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity while meeting deadlines.


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge in both GP ERP System and SCALE WMS System

  • Bachelor’s degree supply chain management or logistics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage department processes and process improvement.
