We have a distinct role in the sales of semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment to laboratories nationwide. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Japanese and English, goal-oriented, adept at meeting forecast targets, uncovering new prospects, and conducting high-level negotiations. Technical Account Managers aid process engineers by introducing sophisticated measurement and analytical inspection techniques utilized in thin film and characterization programs, demonstrating assurance in technical presentations. This role offers growth potential and reports directly to the President. Our organization is multicultural, and proficiency in both English and Japanese is required
Salary:
- Base Salary: $80,000 plus commission
- Hybrid Work: Report to the Chicago office 3-5 times a week, with 25% monthly travel.
- International Travel: A couple time a Year
Core Responsibilities
- Revenue & Growth: Attain annual revenue, profit, and growth objectives set by the company.
- Market Identification: Discover new markets and opportunities, and communicate strategies with the supervisor.
- KPI Achievement: Meet monthly KPIs for new contacts, customer meetings, quotations, and new opportunities as recorded in the CRM.
- Customer Engagement: Regularly visit customer sites by plane or car to drive sales and build strong relationships.
Sales Activities
- Customer Prospecting: Utilize various methods to find new customers.
- CRM Management: Keep detailed account records in the CRM.
- Proposals & Presentations: Prepare and deliver sales proposals, and follow up with key decision-makers.
- Customer Meetings: Conduct quarterly new customer meetings and submit standard reports for assigned territories and strategic accounts.
- Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales process from initial inquiry to final acceptance and payment, including quotes, samples, negotiations, order confirmations, and coordinating delivery and payment terms.
- Sales Reviews: Meet regularly with the direct supervisor to review sales activities, prospective customer status, sales goals, and deadlines.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the direct supervisor to create a quarterly strategic plan to achieve sales goals and travel expectations.
- Tradeshow Support: Assist in tradeshow planning, execution, and follow-up with the Account Management team.
Professional Development
- Industry Networking: Engage in industry organizations and circles.
- Field Awareness: Stay current in Compound Semiconductor and Semiconductor fields regarding trends, competitors, publications, and developments.
- Communication with Product Managers: Maintain weekly contact with product managers to support accurate and timely follow-up on customer orders, demos, and factory requests.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bilingual in Japanese and English.
- Experience: 2-5 years in Technical Sales or Inside Sales.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent experience in material science, technical sales, and customer relationship management.
- Hybrid Work: Report to the Chicago office 3-5 times a week, with 25% monthly travel.
